The Human Resources business area assists a number of Norway’s largest employers. This applies to both public and private enterprises. We also assist - to a large extent - several listed and foreign companies. Our assistance encompasses all aspects of working life, including advisory services and negotiations regarding restructuring and workforce reductions, contract drafting and dispute resolution – both arbitration and proceedings before the ordinary courts, including the Norwegian Supreme Court.
Both the Human Resources business area and a number of our partners hold top spots in Norwegian and international rankings, such as PLC Which Lawyer?, Legal 500 and Chambers Counsel Europe.
Our goal is to find appropriate solutions to our clients’ challenges. The business area maintains good, close contact with our clients’ management and the HR employees in order to achieve this. We desire to resolve as many disputes as possible as early as possible, preferably out of court. Our advice is commonly provided in cooperation with colleagues in Haavind’s other areas of expertise, especially Corporate & Commercial.

The business area develops and offers courses in a number of the legal fields related to working life, such as restructuring and workforce reductions, warnings, administrative procedures, termination cases, HSE and the handling of disputed employment contracts.
