We have been involved in the drafting of many of the main Norwegian industrial standards, such as the NL / NLM delivery conditions, the NF / NKT offshore standards, and the NS standards for the building industry. In addition to continuing and developing our work aimed at traditional industry, we also specialise in the food industry and the pharmaceuticals industry in particular.
Haavind also has many years’ experience helping companies within the IT industry, media and telecommunications. Our lawyers assist a large and diverse group of public and private enterprises in these areas, including ministries and directorates, Norwegian and international ICT companies, media houses, Norwegian and international broadcasters, television and radio distributors, publishing houses and advertising agencies.
Several of the sectors we specialise in are of an international nature, and the framework conditions are often defined by the European Union and other international organisations. Against this background, we have developed expertise in relation to central bodies in the European Union and participate in organisations that work in these areas. We attend trade conferences around the world and submit articles and papers to trade journals.
The lawyers in Industry, media and technology also work with retail trade and service, as well as enterprises involved in research and development. Most of our expertise within intellectual property law and competition law is employed in this business area.
