Labour Law

Our Labour Law practice is considered as a leader in the field by relevant publications that evaluate labour law expertise, such as Legal 500, Chambers Counsel Europe and PLC “Which Lawyer?”. Several of our partners are ranked at the top in the field of labour law in rankings found in Norwegian and foreign journals. Our lawyers lecture extensively and are the authors of a number of publications concerning labour law issues.

We take instructions from a number of Norway’s largest employers, both private and public, as well as foreign and listed enterprises. Our assistance encompasses all aspects of labor law, including advisory services, negotiations, contract drafting, etc., and dispute resolution in particular, through both arbitration and proceedings before the ordinary courts, including the Norwegian Supreme Court. In recent years our Labour Law practice has had a number of cases before the courts at any given time. Most of the cases are resolved out of court and early in the litigation process.

The Labour Law practice area consists of 14 lawyers, seven of whom are partners. Special industry knowledge and extra resources are available through close cooperation with persons associated with the firm’s other business areas.
