Fabrication and Supply Contracts

We have 20 lawyers in this area of expertise, 10 of whom are partners. Our lawyers work with all types of contracts and contract issues related to the fabrication and supply market, for both land-based industry and the offshore market, such as:

  • Advisory services for a contract and procurement strategy
  • Drafting of contracts
  • Quality assurance of draft contracts
  • Contract negotiations
  • Contract follow-up
  • Contract disputes, settlement negotiations, brokering and litigation
  • Internal and external contract law courses
  • Organisation of cooperation/joint ventures

We also regularly publish articles and literature in this field.

Many of our cases are complex with significant technical and commercial issues, in addition to the purely legal issues. Our goal is to prevent and resolve disputes. We establish interdisciplinary teams, where we also involve personnel from the client to a great extent. We have extensive experience with litigation in this area before both arbitration tribunals and ordinary courts.

The firm has played a key role in the development of law with respect to standard contracts, nationally and internationally, for a number of years, through, for example:

  • Negotiations on and the drafting of standard offshore contracts for the last 20 years, i.e. from the drafting of NF 87and NF 92, and now most recently NF 07, NTK 07 and NKT Mod 07
  • Drafting of contract terms for Nordic workshop deliveries (NL terms, such as NL 01 and NLM 02)
  • Drafting of contract terms within the European workshop organisation (Orgalime)
  • Participation in international negotiations on the revision of standard contracts in the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC)
